Valentin Creata and Silviu Stoica – new partners with Popovici Nitu & Asociatii
POPOVICI NIȚU & ASOCIAȚII has announced today the appointment of two new partners - Valentin Creața and Silviu Stoica.
The new partners will also head two of firm’s 12 practice groups, Valentin Creata following to be in charge of Real Estate Development, Construction and Operation, and Silviu Stoica of Competition, Antitrust & Anticompetitive Practices.
Both Valentin Creața and Silviu Stoica have been associates with the firm since its inception, over the past 10 years pursuing all carrier stages from junior associate to senior associate and head of practice group. Both hold a degree in law from the University of Bucharest – Faculty of Law and are members of the Bucharest Bar Association since 1999.
Valentin Creața has been involved in major projects of real estate development and constructions, as well as in acquisitions and management of residential portfolios. Valentin Creața was heading the legal team having built the largest private residential portfolio in Romania (1,000 apartments in 26 distinct projects with a total value of 140 million Euro), acting for Bucharest Apartment Investment/ Benevo Homes Store. In real estate development, Valentin Creata linked his name to many of the most representative industry projects, such as Polus Center Cluj, Polus Center Constanta, Gold Plaza Baia Mare or Bucharest Industrial Park.
Silviu Stoica attended US Legal Methods – Introduction to US Law Law, Institute for US Law in Washington, DC and International Development Law Organization Development Lawyers Course (DLC-20E) in Rome. He deals with a broad range of competition matters, including merger control, antitrust and trading policies, while his practice includes also corporate commercial advice. Established clients of Silviu Stoica include Oresa Ventures (in connection with investments or exit projects implemented over the past years), as well as Philip Morris, Cargill or ArcelorMittal, mainly in respect of competition matters.
