Popovici Nitu & Asociatii: “The Legal Tax Practice Group to become Popovici Nitu & Asociatii Tax SRL”
With revenues of approximately 1 million Euros budget for 2010, the Legal Tax Practice Group of Popovici Nițu & Asociații law firm becomes an autonomous entity.
The new entity, incorporated as Popovici Nițu & Asociații Tax SRL, has been already joined, as Partner, by Mihaela Pohaci, a former tax director with Deloitte Romania.
“Launching Popovici Nițu & Asociații Tax SRL is part of our strategic development and consolidation plans. We are now in the position to offer consolidated legal and tax advice, at the highest level”, said Florian Nițu, the Firm’s Managing Partner.
Popovici Nițu & Asociații Tax SRL shall be jointly headed by Mihaela Pohaci and Alexandru Ambrozie, ensuring together the most appropriate combination of legal, fiscal and financial background to provide state-of-the-art integrated legal and tax advice.
Mihaela Pohaci is a certified tax advisor, gathering more than 15 years of experience in Big Four. Before joining Popovici Nițu & Asociații, Mihaela served as Tax Director, where she provided assistance and advice to multinational companies on a wide range of tax and business matters. She assisted clients in major acquisitions (e.g. the acquisition of the largest Romanian bank as well as other commercial banks; acquisitions of companies in energy sector, beverages and beer industry, pharma industry, electronic communication, and real estate sector), mergers, spin offs & other business restructuring processes and joint ventures for complex projects in infrastructure, airports construction/operation and power stations refurbishment.
Mihaela Pohaci is member of the Romanian Tax Advisors Chamber and International Fiscal Association.
Alexandru Ambrozie, the current Co-Head of Banking, Finance and Capital Markets Practices and Head of the former Legal Tax Practice Group, has a deep understanding of various industries, with a focus on IP, IT & electronic communication, automotive, healthcare, real estate, banking and finance.
“Popovici Nițu & Asociații Tax will be able to provide stand-alone tax advice on the full range of tax issues, but in the same time PN&A Tax will always work together with our colleagues from the other practice groups, providing a team and tailored approach”, said Alexandru Ambrozie.
Popovici Nițu & Asociații TAX SRL will group another 6 certified tax advisors, covering the entire gamut of tax issues.
